Games that don't treat your attention like a resource

April 9, 2026 · Lukas Berger

I've deleted more games over pushy notifications than over bad gameplay. A game can be brilliant, but if it buzzes me every evening demanding I return, it's gone.

The good ones are confident enough to let you walk away. They save your spot, keep things quiet, and are simply there when you feel like playing again. That's a feature, not a flaw.

During testing I now check the notification settings on day one. If a game spams you out of the box, that goes straight into the review. Your home screen is not advertising space.

Vote with your installs. The more we reward respectful games, the more we get them.
